Impact Zambia Training Centre!

Biogas stove!

15 March 2018

So many good memories!  When you see women sitting in the marketplace with their sewing machines earning a living after receiving training, it is just so encouraging!  Kizzy, Gertrude, Mercy, Precious, and Florence are now working together and amongst others, make school uniforms and outfits.  Today we were measured for our own outfits – what a privilege!

It was so good to see the progress at the training centre!  The biogas tank filled up over the last week and finally started to produce gas. So, today was the first time that a gas stove was lit at the training centre with gas extracted from manure!  It was also such a privilege to see rooms filled with finely crafted wooden beds, tables, and chairs made by participants in the carpentry training program (sponsored by Goderich Rotary Club) and the mattresses, sheets, pillows and towels sponsored by the grant from the Rotary Club of Georgetown and topped with beautiful quilts donated by Blyth Sewing Group.
