Dorothy and Mathew Musanda

We arrived late last night at the Musanda’s village welcomed by Dorothy and Mathew.  It is here where the Share your Knowledge story started with Sewing 17 years ago with Dorothy’s question “Will you teach me?”  So, it is always good to greet them when we are in Zambia and to experience their hospitality.  Not only did this skill changed their lives for the better, but also others in the community.  They both now have a degree from the African Christian College in Swaziland – Mathew in Organizational leadership and Dorothy in Counselling. Mathew is a pastor and recently became an advisor to Chief Nyawa, while Dorothy uses her skills in the community, and will be part of the Impact Zambia July 2018 program at the Training Centre.

After Mathew showed Cliff and Maria their crops and farm where Cliff had an opportunity to plough, we were served another good meal with rape and ground nuts as a side dish before heading out to Mission of Love, and again had a long, but good ride.  The highlight was seeing Jako pull out two 5-ton trucks that got stuck in the mud with a 23-yr old Pajero!   The joy when the second vehicle was freed after being stuck for about 9 hours was incredible! We thank God for traveling mercies and that we could be a blessing to others.  Tomorrow we will be visiting Mission of Love, after which we will be out of contact while driving the stretch through the Kafue National Park.
