Safely in Livingstone!

Mosi-oa-Tunya

Fri March 9, 2018 – Lianti Muller

Today, the team finally united in Johannesburg when Marnel joined us on the last trip to Zambia! Even though we did not sleep much over the last two days, we went to see the 7th wonder in the world:  Mosi-oa-Tunya, also known as Victoria Falls, means “the smoke that thunders”.  From far you can see the cloud of mist hanging over the 300ft drop.  Everything is green and beautifully lush and the Zambezi river is full.  One thing we can confirm is that you definitely benefit from a poncho when you visit the falls!

Back at Fawlty Towers we met Jako & Amber Joubert with their two sons who are joining us this year to Itezhi-tezhi.  With the amount of rain that fell the last month driving will be very challenging.   We are just grateful they can join us!  Tomorrow (Saturday) the Knips will go on a safari, while Marnel will be visiting with a cat conservation group, and I will be helping to get supplies for our departure.

Please pray for the preparations and the first travel to Dorothy and Mathew Musanda in Nyawa.

  1. Thank you for keeping us informed. I look forward to hearing occasional reports. You will have to teach me how to do this. I want to find out from Marnel all about the cat conservation group. Maybe she can write me a report. I warm hello to Jako and Amber and especially the boys.
