Impact Zambia was established in 2012 with a vision of working in partnership with indigenous leaders to help some of the poorest communities in rural areas of southwestern Zambia. Its primary ministries are operated through New Life Tabernacle (founded in 1994 and headquartered in Itezhi-tezhi, Zambia) and its 20+ branch churches.

Impact Zambia’s first project was to build a facility that doubled up as an office and school on the site of the Itezhi-tezhi church, and to build new church buildings in Mumbwa and Namwala. Through partnerships with Canadian and South African churches, International Teams Canada, the Share Your Knowledge group, and Rotary International, they have since expanded their programs to include community development initiatives designed to break the cycle of poverty by limiting isolation and providing education and vocational training. read more →

Impact Zambia 2016 Goals

  1. 1
Complete Phase 1 of multipurpose training center with lodging facilities
A training centre with overnight facilities in rural Zambia will go a far way to provide underprivileged learners new marketable skills and knowledge and equip church leaders from rural areas. It will allow the expansion of the Share Your Knowledge project that has been launched on a small scale.
  2. 2
Raise funds for reliable 4×4 vehicle
The vehicle used by the Mayapi’s and the Impact Zambia Training Centre is starting to cost more and more to maintain. Approx $25,000 is required to purchase a secondhand 4×4 vehicle to help Daniel and Florence safely and reliably cover the large territory they are responsible for.
  3. 3
Establish the Share Your Knowledge program
This grassroots volunteer-run program has equipped and trained more than 110 women in rural southwestern Zambia in sewing, which enabled them to provide for their families.  The intent is to expand this program to include other vocational skills and business training, including carpentry, agriculture, hospitality, catering, mechanics to provide underprivileged learners a means to support their families.
  4. 4
Host Southern African PACE summit in July 2016
This summit will be an expansion of the summit hosted by PACE Ministries in Kenya, and the first one in Southern Africa at the Impact Zambia Training Centre. The focus is on building relationships, capacity, and networks amongst African leaders.
  5. 5

This fund is assisting members of New Life Tabernacle and Cell Ministries start or grow businesses and farm operations to develop an income stream for themselves and their families and also increase the standard of living for others in their midst.
